Finn Marks is a composer, educator, and performer whose works have garnered recognition from esteemed composers such as Brian Balmages and Mark Camphouse, who have described his music as “exciting” and “full of energy.” He is currently pursuing a degree in Music Education at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
As an educator, Finn has conducted the James Madison University Middle School Lab Band and served as an ensemble clinician for various programs throughout the Shenandoah Valley, where he is committed to inspiring and mentoring young musicians. As a performer, he has played with the award-winning Massanutten Brass Band and performs regularly with several ensembles, including the James Madison University Wind Symphony and the James Madison University Brass Band.
